About the Event
We are delighted to offer an information session about the wonders of saori weaving by one of Australia's leading practitioners, Prue Simmons, of Dyeing To Weave Studio. Prue has offered a free presentation to Guild members about the rich and unique history of SAORI weaving and a demonstration of the SAORI loom. Join us for this valuable opportunity to learn more about SAORI weaving, its rich origins and creation in Japan and how it differs from other styles of weaving.

This is a free event for Guild members; non-Guild members are also very welcome to attend. We request that non-Guild members make a gold coin donation on the night.
The presentation will be held at the Montgomery Room, Carpark Lane, Ulverstone on Saturday 28 September 2024 from 7 pm to 9 pm.
Ample parking is provided in the two-hour car park adjacent to the meeting room. Alternatively, all day parking is a short walk away close by at the Wharf or Patrick Street car park
