We would like to invite members to our (hopefully) inaugural Winter Woollies weekend.

This weekend is an opportunity to learn more about the skills and talents within our membership.

As such we invite everyone to come along with samples of their work to exhibit, with a photo of

yourself attached so that, as we browse the items, we can identify who has made it.

For the more experienced members, please consider demonstrating a technique that you have

mastered, or provide a list of techniques that you would be prepared to answer questions on, or

help those wanting to give it a try.

For the less experienced, please let us know what you would like help with, or what you are hoping

to gain from the weekend. A timetable for demonstrations will be circulated on the Friday evening.

On Sunday morning we will open our doors to the public for interest and sale of handmade items. All

items must be labelled with fibre type, care instructions, price and your name and member number.

There will be a commission charged.

Items offered for sale must be hand woven, hand spun or hand dyed. Knitted items need to be

made from yarn that has either been hand dyed or hand spun.

ACCOMMODATION:

Camp Banksia has recently been refurbished with 2 new bunkroom hubs, each with 6 rooms for 6

people. There are 6 shower and 6 toilet cubicles in each including a disabled facility. Each hub also

has a “leaders” room with 1 bunk (2 people). Lower bunks will be allocated to those of greater need.

All buildings have wheel chair access. The accommodation is BYO bedding, so either a sleeping bag

or sheets and blankets and pillows will be needed.
