Would you like to learn to spin on a drop spindle? This will be a practical, hands-on lesson, suitable for beginners or those that wish to refresh their basic skills. We will cover Park and Draft, different methods of drop spindling, making singles, using an Andean style plying tool, plying on a spindle, and transferring to a niddy noddy. If there is time then other types of spindle spinning may be touched upon.
Note: you will need to be comfortable with standing during the workshop and you will be raising your arm a lot during the day so if you have frozen shoulder or shoulder bursitis this workshop will not be suitable for you.
