Guild member Karen Vincent continues her experiments with dyeing her blended merino/alpaca fleece with interesting results. "Vinegar has been the only mordant used thus far & rhubarb leaves might be the next variant. From the left in the photograph: merigold flowers only; then the residue has gained tumeric which produced my favourite shade; next brown onion skins were added to the residue; finally a completely fresh pot of beetroot with leaves produced an almost similar colour. The next challenge is to find storage space!"
